The Sun Crossword is back, under the new name Fireball Crosswords. Launch date: January 14, 2010

Fireball Crosswords is a weekly pay-to-play crossword that comes by email in both AcrossLite and pdf format. To subscribe, you simply pay the subscription fee and indicate what email address you want the puzzles to come to. The puzzles are typically tough 15x15 themeless crosswords by me, but there are a few exceptions to that. They usually come once a week, but there will be a few extra ones and a few vacation weeks, so the last puzzle will come sometime in December 2010.

Subscriptions come in three levels, and prices depend on whether you pay by a snail-mailed check or by PayPal. If you pay by PayPal, you'll need to cover their cut, which is 2.9% + 30 cents.

Gold membership is the same as the Basic membership, except you get to tell me one answer to put in the puzzle. So if you hate OREO cookies and love NUTTERBUTTER cookies, but you've never seen that in a crossword, now you can. Your answer will appear sometime during the year. Before choosing this option, be sure to check with me to make sure I'm okay with the answer you want in.
